Funnel, Separating, Spherical Glass
A separatory funnel, also known as a separation funnel, or separating funnel, is a piece of laboratory glassware used in liquid-liquid extractions to separate (partition) the components of a mixture into two immiscible solvent phases of different densities. Typically, one of the phases will be aqueous, and the other a lipophilic organic solvent.
This spherical separatory funnel is constructed from borosilicate glass, and fitted with a ground glass stopcock. The top contains a standard 19/26 quick fit joint and it is supplied with a glass stopper. Stem length is 15cm.
